My shop measures 36' X 36" and is pole building style constructed. The inside walls and doors were sprayed with 3-4 inches of polyurethane insulation. The foam adds a lot to the building structurally as well as helps to seal it. Most of the shop is dedicated towards knife making but I can pretty well handle all chores in there. The overhead has steel beams mounted to the trusses  that run from end to end as well as to the sides. I have a trolley on the beams with a chain hoist and can handle up to 2000# loads with ease. We regularly host gatherings of knife makers here at "hammer ins". These gatherings are learning experiences for all as well as an opportunity for fellowship with your peers.
